Key Largo Sunrise Escape Home Theater
By Andrew Trask • May 7th, 2012 • Category: Featured TheaterA couple in Key Largo, FL wanted to take advantage of our CinemaScape acoustic panel printing. They wanted to use existing photos taken during multiple sunrises that only the Florida Keys can offer. Protech e2, out of Key Largo, FL teamed up with Cinema Design Group, Int’l (CDGi) to make this happen.
Usually this would bring up issues ranging from resolution to composition. However, this homeowner happens to be a savvy photographer. With his archive of beautiful hi-resolution sunsets, our Art Dept was able to use multiple pictures to create a massive 10,200 wide pixel composition (per wall) that was dye-sub printed onto our acoustically transparent CinemaScape theater fabric.
The best part is that the image on each wall is geographically correct. If one were to be sitting in those theater chairs with no walls one sunny morning, the view wouldn’t look all that different.
